“I purchased a Triumph Escape 8 months after release from rehab due to a femur/hip break”
I was released from rehab with a Drive Medical Rollator. I destroyed it in approximately 8 months. I was told I was walking too much & it was not meant to be used outside (narrow & small wheels).
I purchased a Triumph Escape which I named Lancelot. He was amazing. Even cobblestone streets in NYC, which I had no business walking on. No falling. The cables are inside the struts so you cannot get caught on anything which would trigger a fall. Went grocery shopping with him. Loved him so much.
After I had to move to a powerchair, what to do with Lancelot? I ended up giving it to another person with FSHD. She called me the next day: she was out walking with her daughter. She was so happy & was keeping his name. Her husband dropped off a bouquet of flowers.
BTW, your customer service is great. I needed a new basket & backstrap: boom! it came the next day.

Strangers’ questions about your mobility: well-meaning or nosy?
Many people who use walkers also use wheelchairs. To people in the industry or with physical challenges, that’s not news. But for the average person on the street, it may be baffling to see their neighbour using a walker or rollator one day, and a wheelchair the next.
Switching between devices can often depend on a user’s day-to-day challenges and activities. There might be changes in strength, or different social situations that require different kinds of mobility aids.
“It can be mortifying to have a walker blocking me from the person I’m trying to hug,” says Frankie Perazzola, a California native who writes regularly about her life and the physical challenges she faces. She also uses a walker and a wheelchair, depending on her health and her environment.
Perazzola has Fiedreichs Ataxia (FA). It’s a genetic disease that often shows in childhood and causes difficulty walking and a loss of feeling in the arms and the legs. FA can also impair normal speech and trigger heart disease. It typically shortens life expectancy, but cases that are less severe often result in life spans into their 60s or even older.
Perazzola says she used to be angry when people asked her about her need to switch between assistive devices, but she isn’t any more. At Triumph, we found her perspective and willingness to educate others about her abilities to be inspiring.

A lifesaver for both the patient and myself as the caregiver.
After researching many walkers, we looked at the Rollz Motion² walker/transport chair as the best option for someone with Parkinson’s disease, due to the fluctuations in the ability to move or not. The Rollz Motion² was purchased in January of 2016, and we have used it consistently for everything.
We found that the walker portion is superb to other models, as the handles and handle height adjustment, and the ease and lightness in which it rolls is amazing. The biggest benefit is the ability to quickly change his walker into a full blown Transport Chair. For the caregiver, this provides a significant level of confidence knowing that they will easily be able to cope with the movement issues, and be able to take the person they are caring for pretty well any where and get them back. Once the chair portion is slipped on to make the seat, the foot pedals easily attach and the caregiver handles easily swing around to provide a great transport option. The other big bonus of the Rollz Motion², is that the chair is firm, with a firm back, which makes it ideal if the person you are with has to sit for any length of time. They are completely comfortable in using this a regular chair – the seat pad is great and so is the back, being full length.
This has been a lifesaver for both the patient and myself as the caregiver. I know that I can handle just about any situation, can easily get this folded into a taxi or onto the airplane without any issues whatsoever. It is always great fun when a taxi drives up to pick us up and you see the horrified look on the cab drivers face when thinking about getting the chair in their cab, only to see a huge surprised look when it is completely collapsed down. We have had it on the helicopter may times, and it is the same reaction from the loading crews, complete amazement and relief as the chair collapsed. When you are dealing with various levels of care, the support from the ease of use of the Rollz Motion², make this very ideal.
We are also on rural property, and the large wheels work very well.
The only issue we have had, is our front wheels are smaller then the one you had displayed. I would really like to swap out the front wheels. I was also impressed with the chair back holder when the chair is in the walker function, versus having to carry the chair seat/back.
This is a great product for both the caregiver and the patient and this product has held up well to some pretty strenuous use for 3 years.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Escape Walker!
When it is time to order a new walker, the only walker my son wants is the escape!
It is the most sturdy walker he has ever used in his 34 years. It folds up very easily to fit in the trunk or back seat of the car. This walker allows you to get through narrow spaces by just pulling up on a handle on the seat. The seat is very comfortable as well. All in all, our family has found this to be the best walker on the market.

Peace of Mind with my New Escape
A little story: Two years ago I had a walker that I thought was great until one afternoon I tripped on this red metal thing sticking out from the rear tire, which I found out later to be a curb climber.
I broke many bones and ended up in rehab for 6 months. During my rehab I had to use the same walker which gave me lots of distress.
I went to my local Home Health Care store and explained my dissatisfaction and wanted to know if there was any other walkers I could try. The clerk pointed me to a product called the Escape. The Escape had handles unlike any other which sloped slightly, to my amazement I walked straighter and relieved a shoulder pain I had for months.
I can’t say enough about my Escape it’s light, easy to roll, and has no cables to worry about. I’ve been using it for 2 years now, with no problems and all my friends in my apartment building tell me I look great.
I have attached a picture and you will see I’m no young chic, I’m 92.
